Why sustainable art packing is important

A world without sustainability, can we keep it up?

A world without sustainable packaging will be the beginning of the end. In every industry, making sustainable moves is getting more important by day. This is because resources are getting more scarce and the amount of waste is increasing too much. Why is the current way of working harmful and what can we do about it?

Plastic sticks around in the environment for ages, threatening wildlife and spreading toxins. Plastic also contributes to global warming, is said. Almost all plastics are made from chemicals that come from the production of planet-warming fuels (gas, oil and even coal). The result of this will have a big influence on earth if we cannot take any responsibility anytime soon. The 3 most common problems caused by using too much plastic are the following.

1. It takes up space. A lot of space.

Around the world, humans produce 380 million tons of plastic waste every year. That number is hard to even imagine; it’s about 95 tons of plastic spread over every square mile of the United States. Can you imagine to continue with this, the whole country will be stacked!

2. It creates microplastics

You’ve probably heard the phrase “plastics don’t break down.” This is partially true; plastics don’t break down like organic materials do. In a sense, plastics do break down; they break into much smaller plastic particles now known as microplastics. These can be as large as a pebble or smaller than a single cell. Wildlife in the ocean for example, takes this small cells as food. When consuming these cells, day by day, their organs are getting destroyed and the wildlife will suffer from this.

3. It kills ocean life, faster then you think

By now you’ve probably heard about the mass amounts of plastic polluting oceans and other waterways. Plastic debris makes its way into oceans from rivers, shorelines, or boats. This plastic debris affects all kinds of ocean life, from sea turtles to ocean birds to sharks to fish and everything in between. Animals get tangled or stuck in discarded nets or bottles, choke on plastic debris, fill their stomachs with plastic they mistake for food, and much more. As these animals die, the ecosystems they play an essential part in begin to die with them.

So why do we prefer to improve the recycling of goods at Biyomap? With focussing on durable and sustainable products, we lower the chances of getting over capacitated by the problems as named above.
